We have a 5ft high wooden fence that's rotting and falling apart in places, we've tried to patch it up but the recent storm took two fence panels down and the low brick wall that was holding the fence up (like a gravel board) has disintegrated. I don't have exact measurements but the fence consists of 12 6ftx5ft panels and ideally we'd like to replace them with 6ft panels as next door's garden is slightly higher than ours. We have a tight budget though so if the current fence can be repaired then we'd consider that too.

Both front and back gardens are long and steep, about 25 x 7m. Neither have been maintained this year and are overgrown with weeds. There are tiny lawns front and back, more practically strimmed than mown. Work required:- Trim hedges, shrubs and overgrown plants. Strim lawns and grass paths. Strim/cut back weeds on paths, hedge bottoms and borders. Remove all cuttings/arisings. Spray with glyphosate all weeds on paths, hedge bottoms and (carefully) between shrubs/plants in beds and borders. Leave site tidy. There are gates providing pedestrian access to both front and back gardens, and there is access between front and back via a narrow passage.
James was quick to respond to the initial job posted (garden clearance), quoted a price within a week and completed the job satisfactorily within a month. I have found him to be competent, motivated and reliable. James now maintains the garden on a regular basis.

I'm not sure
Rear garden needs returfing. I've had some patios/walls built and the finishing touch to the garden is to returf the lawn. There is a smallish pear tree stump that will need removing and I also want a border such as "smartedge" around the whole perimeter. The old lawn has always suffered with being soggy through the winter months due to what seems to be a lot of hard clay under the surface. I don't know if a French drain would help (the garden slopes) and it may need extra work before laying the turf to improve the soil conditions (adding sharp sand etc). I need an expert in turfing to do a good job for me that won't turn into a soggy mess again next winter.
Did a great job, worked very hard through all weathers and the finished re-turfed garden looks fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone considering having turf laid.

We are looking for someone to take care of the general ongoing maintenance of our garden. To start with we need 2 - 3 full days to 'tame' the garden after the summer's growth, then someone to come for two hours once a fortnight to then keep it well maintained. Please provide a day rate quote for the initial day's work, then an hourly rate for the ongoing maintenance. We may also require additional hours on an ad-hoc basis for specific projects (these would be quoted for separately as required)
Richard has done a fantastic job tidying up our overgrown garden, and has given us lots of food for thought on what else we can do with the space. Highly recommended.
