Job To pave my entire garden with slabs. Some are already down as a patio area. Area to be covered is approx 40ft x 13ft. I have cleared the garden but it may need some topsoil removing.

Job replace a fence on one side of my garden with a higher fence

Comment Very prompt response, trader came round to view and got a quote which was in my opinion an exceptable price. The job itself caused the trader unforeseen problems due to the unexpected materials lying beneath the soil which made it a longer job than it should of been. What should of taken a day to complete took 2 days through no fault to the trader. The thing that impressed me most was that they returned on the second day despite the fact that heavy snow had fallen and steadfastly worked throughout the day to finish the job even though frostbite was setting in to their hands and feet. They worked diligently throughout the day without complaints, and managed despite the elements to provide me with a fence which I am sure will withstand all the elements including a hurricane. They were polite, courteousy and I would highly recommend them. Lorraine

Job I have bought the porphyry slabs and I need a patio laid to an end of terrace house with the side driveway laid together with the front drive. The area has two drain coverers that will need to be replaced / recessed to match the surrounding slabs. I will need drainage laid as requried. I want the area excavated and removed. then a blinding of concrete laid. Following this I want the slabs laid on a sand and cement mix and pointed. edging will be made up of a double row of porphyry setts.

Comment Quality: The owner told me he could do the job but it was too dificult for them and the design needed to be simplified when they could not do what they quoted to do. Reliability: They were 3 hours late on the first day and wanted to work from 11am - 3pm and used my patio to fill in between other jobs. The owner may have been competent but he was not there and left 2 labourers to lay 160m of very expensive porphry slabs. Value: they were the most expensive of the three quotes obtained and faults are too numerous to mention including falls that left water running into my garage when it rains. At 7 weeks Abstraction were thrown off of the job having spent 7 weeks on a job that was quoted 3 weeks to take. I have got in another landscaper to complete and would advise that you do not use this company. A lot of money will be asked for not proportional to work completed. Do not part with your cash too early. Dean

Job Currently old grass, slightly worn. Want a gardener to install turf ( i can buy if necessary) or get and lay themselves.

Rob did a great job -they were efficient and quick in quoting and really worked hard to get my install completed within a short time frame. Job Patio stones already in situ but I want part of them moved and relaid. I would like the lawn then relaid and some flower beds constructed using the materials already in my garden. It is a small garden approx 35-40ft. I am flexible with the cost and would welcome any ideas.
