There is an old tarmac path from the front gate to the front door at the side of the house. The line of this path is wrong and everyone takes a short cut across the lawn. It is slightly awkward because there is a door at the other side of the house which also needs access while somehow not chopping the lawn up into little bits. Our preferred surface would be brick or block paving. The path is approximately 22m in length (total to both doors). Most is about 90cms wide but the last 3.5m to the front door needs to be 1.6m wide.
The job was explained by the contractor who was also very helpful with suggestions for the design and choice of materials. Every one on site was very pleasant and helpful and the work was completed within a reasonable time and to a very pleasing standard.

Hi The job is slightly more than re-turfing. I have listed below as much as detail as possible: Backgarden: After a recent extension on my property, this has left the back garden needing a complete overhaul. It is around c.180 foot by 55 foot, of which the first 120 foot requires digging up and levelling out prior to re-turfing. Within the first part of the garden, there are two ponds of which one requires to be removed and the second to be brought back to life (cleaning etc.) - this will be used as a wild pond and therefore not requiring a pump. It will be filled with non-exotic fish e.g. goldfish. The the final 60 foot of the garden also needs clearing with some levelling off of soil which was dumped here during the building work. This may need re-turfing. Fencing: Leading from the front drive way to half way down one side of the house, new wooden fencing is required to replace the existing rotten fence - c. 40 feet of fencing (about 7 six foot panels).

We have a river at the bottom of the garden and now have baby twins. we need to divide the garden so that they cant get near the water. The fencing will need to also accomodate a patio area with gates for adult access. There will also need to be a gate to allow access for a sit on mower. Obviosly the fencing needs to be un-climbable to avoid two tooddlers helping each other over it.
