Replacing 7 wooden fence panels (6ft x 6ft) with new ones. New panels would be 6 foot high - made up of 5 foot fence and 1 foot trellis, reusing existing concreate fence posts.
John provided a very efficient and good value service with intelligent advice on both the fencing and tree surgery jobs in my garden. The work was done on time and to a high standard. He even used a 'garden hoover' to clean up what little mess was made on the grass and pavement. Highly recommended. Would definitely use again.

Unsold Job, Updated Details : 1.We have an 8m path along the side of the house where we need to add a flexible perforated drain: Break away min 150mm of the adjoining concrete path 300mm deep. Install 80mm flexible perforated drain to fall to the dirction of the existing surface drain. The drain should have at least 200mm cover of 20-10mm pea gravel. fill everything with gravel. 2. Single step from garden to side path concrete chipping away. re-shutter and allow to cure in shuttering. 3. Clean all from 4no. manhole covers and surroung and ensure the access to lift manholes is clear of concrete. This is just a minor item 4. Side door to kitchen, putty repair or fit uPVC profile bead. Take down old side fence and replace with new side an back fence comprising of concrete slotted posts, concrete gravelboards and lapboard fencing. All materials supplied. Access to garden is through house, so no ability to use a digger. New side fence will consist of 12 posts, 12 gravelboards and 12 panels. One end connects to house; other end gravelboard and panel may need to be modified to a slightly smaller size. New back fence will consist of 3 posts, 3 gravelboards and 3 panels. One end to connect to existing wooden post of existing fence, one panel/gravleboard may need to be modified to slightly smaller size. Would like work done as soon as possible.
We were very impressed with Neville from the start of the process. He arrived for his appointment on time, highlighted all the areas which I already knew were not straightforward and gave some good advice on the best way to deal with them, even before he had been given the job. He was actually the most expensive of the three quotes we recieved, but not by much and this thoroughness and attention to detail was what made us select him and we were not disappointed. Neville and Mark worked hard and produced an excellent result. They talked through their plans as they went to ensure we were happy with what they intended to do. They had to contend with tree roots everywhere at the end of the garden slowing them down and digging back a raised bed of earth so they could get the fence in and level, all within the agreed price. Although I said I would supply all materials we were actually short of a few items and both Neville and Mark went out of their way to pick these up for us so the work could continue. In addition to their excellent work, they were both extremely polite and tidy. Running dust sheets through the house, changing shoes between the garden and the house and generally sweeping/tidying up after themselves in both ours and the neighbours gardens. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

We have an asbestos / cement corrugated roof on our garden shed. It has started to leak when it rains. It seems the leak is where the sheets overlap - possibly due to a build up of moss and dirt. Need to have the moss / dirt removed, and flashing tape put on to stop the leak

We have a large hedge at the front of the house that needs cutting back, and a small wall that needs removing. Underneath the wall are some plants/mud that need removing so that we can drive onto the drive. The concern is that unless something is laid over the plant roots our drive will be permanently muddy, hence the suggestion to lay concrete (as per the rest of the drive). Very small area. Specifically the tasks include: 1. To remove 2.8 linear metres of hedge row including roots 2. To remove 2.8 linear metres of garden wall 300mm of height 3. To excavate 1.4m2 of soil, lay 125mm of base and 100mm of concrete with tapered finish 4. To remove top of hedgerow 3.5 linear metres, 800mm height 5. Disposal of waste
