"Clive is very friendly and obliging and seems to really love his work and take pride in it. He and his team did a complete makeover on our large back garden, a big job which took several weeks. Ask him for the pictures, the change is quite dramatic! I was impressed with his flexibility - we discussed plans each day and he was happy to adapt as things progressed, without taking the opportunity to bump up the price, as a lot of people would have done. He came up with some good ideas we hadn't thought of as well. The only additions were for a couple of big extras we asked for part way through, but Clive quoted a very reasonable price and we were happy to agree. After some bad experiences in the past, dealing with someone fair and honest like Clive was a pleasure. I think we messed up his schedule a bit, so he ended up juggling days a bit at the end, so things took a bit longer than planned, but he always turned up when he said he would and I was often impressed how much he and his team could achieve in a day (picking up, delivering, barrowing and spreading 6 tons of slate for instance!) All the construction work was to a good standard, particularly pleased with the excellent patio. Clive was always sure to check we were happy with things and willing to change anything that wasn't quite right. I'd certainly recommend him and we hope to get him back to do the front garden next year! "
