rear garden small rectangular plot approx 50' behind mid-terrace victorian cottage plus side return. gone wild from neglect. needs clearing and replacing with low-maintenance design. only used (or seen) when warm and sunny. Don't want lawn, nor decking. Small plot at front also needs similar treatment. Could be persuaded over budget for right design.
John came across as the most professional of the three people who quoted for this work. He explained clearly why he was proposing to do the work in a particular way, and provided a good visualisation of his proposal, along with a quotation broken down to show a costing of each part of the job and alternative options. Although not the cheapest quote I obtained, because of this I felt I understood why it was a little more than the others. There were some unavoidable delays to the start date, but once one was agreed, all appointments were kept and the work finished in the agreed time frame and to a high standard.

It is country style –with many shrubs and quite a few self - seeded flowers ( e.g. foxgloves, poppies and daisies).
