"I cannot recommend this builder or company for the following reasons: Contracted builder for 2 tier decking, brick retaining wall and general landscaping of slope. Additions added at agreed price and paid in full. 3rd tier decking added to overcome problem with miss-judged land level, also paid in full at time of commissioning. Builder advised of financial problems and requested progress payments above initial 50% deposit and additions already paid, including final payment in full and in advance. I complied to assist having job completed. Despite the payments he subsequently stated he was unable to complete the work, and left the job less than half finished. New builders providing quotes to complete work advised: Retaining wall needs land drain and/ or weep holes fitted to ensure adequate drainage and prevent collapse of structure Height retaining wall needs to be reduced to match level of ground and path Untreated fence posts sunk in cement for vertical decking supports need to be removed and replaced with treated wood joists Decking frame to be dismantled, correctly levelled and re-erected with correct beam spacing to ensure adequate support for deck boards. Weed membrane needs to be laid, before replacing granite chippings Once original completion date expired, I contracted new builder at significant further expense to rectify above and complete work. "

"I appreciate the 5 star rating. However any attempt to make this builder look good is in vain. I still will not recommend this builder. Due to problems encountered with this job I took him to court and was given judgement in my favour for over £1200. The builder in question still owes me this debt."
