Last night I noticed the radiators were not hot although the boiler did fire up when I first turned it on. The timer was still showing as on but none of the pipes were hot. The pilot light was on but I think the boiler was not firing up. This morning I messed about with it and the pilot light is now out and can't light it again. The boiler is a Wickes 40 (Halstead) gas boiler. Serial number 40 12221 D 1087 44 located downstairs. It is not a combi boiler. Tank and timer is upstairs in the airing cupboard. Difficult to estimate cost as not sure what needs replacement?
