Updated : Gazco Studio conventional flue will not ignite. I have spoken to Gazco who asked if I had changed the batteries in the remote control and the wall. I have. They transferred me to their technical department but it was way above my head. When I press the remote the fire clicks (as it always does) but does not ignite. I have no idea on what is wrong with the fire and therefore I cannot consider a budget. Original : Gazco fire will not ignite. Batteries have been changed in the remote.
Ray was punctual, reliable and knew exactly what he was doing. What more can a customer ask for.

I have a gas fire that has been out of use for a year maybe two. It is working, but there is a smell when it is turned on. I need someone to check it over make sure everything is ok and find the cause of the smell and give advice/get rid of it.
I booked a gas fire service - the engineer did not do much before telling me the fire was not pulling properly and so he could not proceed any further, recommending I book a chimney sweep. The chimney sweep immediately on testing the pull told me it was absolutely fine, so unfortunately on this occassion I was given the wrong advice that has cost me a lot of money.

The job proved to be a a bit awkward and took quite a while to sort, but the job was finished the same day and I was charged for the job not the hours, good value.
