Description Updated : PLEASE note the following before contact us, we have a solid fuel boiler to replace. I put oil fired in the heading as there was no header for solid fuel. there is no gas mains to the property and we think changing to oil will be expensive as we have no tank. Therefore we want to replace the existing old solid fuel boiler with a new one and reconnect it to the existing radiators and existing hot water tank. Original : we have just moved in to a house with an old solid fuel boiler that runs 5 radiators and hot water. The boiler is very old as is the flue and chimney. The boiler smokes a lot too. We want to replace the boiler and probably have the flue relined and chimney swept. we have had a couple of people look at it but been told different things, especially that the heating person can't do the plumbing element (as it is attached to the hot water cylinder) or vice versa. We would like to find someone who can do the complete job asap. We are based in barnard castle, near Darlington. We are able to buy a boiler ourselves from ebay ect or happy to take reccomendations and buy it through whover does the job.
