Baxi solo 2, no heating or hot water. Long term fault known about, but Severn Trent cut off water supply last night and it won't work since then.
Did a very thorough job over three visits and I'm happy with the finished result. There were a couple of discrepencies over arrival time, but Darren was very apologetic and had to suffer my beginner cello pupils as a result... all's fair and all that! Nice to have warmth in the house again and Darren was very friendly.

Very informative when assessing our needs and explained everything in great details, answering any questions we had fully, ther quote was on par with others we received. Arrived on time to do the work keeping us informed as they went as to how long it would take and how the new system worked. The workmen were very polite and cleared up each night before leaving. When all the work was finished they made sure we knew how to use the new boiler before they left and told us what we should do if we did have any problems in the future. Would highly recommend them.

11 radiators in 8 rooms. Currently some radiators are really hot and some cold. Would like the ability to control the heat per room. Can't decide whether to rip the en-suite out or just get a new thermostat for the shower. It's currently broken so get scalding water to begin with then it runs cold.
I would definitely recommend Johns work to other clients. Approachable nice man, fair quote and a professional job.

We want to install a new oil fired unvented heating/hot water system into our house in Donisthorpe, South Derbyshire. It's a large farmhouse, grade 2 listed and very poorly insulated (which we can't do anything about) and we have calculated that we have an energy requirement of 90KW. We have a plumber friend of the family that has removed all the old radiators and pipework, and is now in the process of laying a completely new pipe network, hot water tanks and new radiators (with a radiator thermostatic control system), but fitting the boilers and flue is beyond his experience level. This is not a simple job, it needs someone with experience of large properties and linking multiple boilers together as we expect using two oil boilers will be more cost effective than one large 90KW one that most of the time is redundant. There is further complexity with the flue system we need, as we need to make use of an existing chimney stack within the boiler room, as being a listed building, we can't create new flue outlets through the room or walls. I am looking for a plumber, experienced with oil fired boilers, and with experience using chimneys as a flue, that can fit the two boilers, connecting them to be able to work together and connecting them to the pipework that’s being laid, with any expansion vessels and pumps needed, and fitting the flue system using the existing chimney. Ideally I'd like to go for Grant boilers, or else Worcester Bosch. Ideally to start with I’d like a rough estimate what supply and fit of the boilers, accessories and flue system will cost (both materials and labour), but then a site visit is vital to finalize things. I’m looking to have the boilers fitted ideally in July.
