I have a very old condensing boiler that I would like replacing with a modern unit.
Ted replaced an old boiler for us and I was very impressed with his work. I had a number of quotes but felt that Ted undertook the most thorough inspection of the existing system and then made reasoned recommendations based upon our requirements. His quote was also very competitive. He was always on time and the work undertaken was top notch. I would use him again.

Thorn Boiler is emitting a lot of soot to outside wall
the workman came at the appointed time. he was very polite and knowledgeable.
he cleaned out the boiler. price seemed very fair and reasonable. would definitely
use hum again and happy to recommend him.

I'm not sure
The current 8 year old Glowworm Ultimate boiler needs to be replaced by a new Vaillant condensing boiler. This will possibly involve changes to existing pipework. One radiator in a bay window needs repairing or replacement. One valve needs to be replaced in another radiator. Water inlet to heating tank needs replacement.
Right from the off Jared was quick and efficient to communicate and he kept to agreed quotation. Job was done very professional.
I can only recommend him and would use him again anytime.

My Glow worm 30-40rf will not fire up. The value clicks and then the pilot lights and keeps lit but the main burner never fires. This is the same whether it is heating or hot water that is set to come on from the control box. Gas is definitely on as gas hob works. electric is on at boiler as pilot lights.
the only control on the boiler is a thermostat which goes form 0 to 5 and is always set to 5. I have tried setting this to 3 and no change.
I have turned off power to the boiler and control unit for 30 minutes and turned back on with no change.
