"This firm were really pretty good. Their initial quotation by email never arrived, though apparently it was sent (these things do happen); but after I rang them to say it had not arrived, they were very diligent, among other things keeping me well posted on ETAs, etc. (which you need, because so much can go wrong unexpectedly on a plumbing job and therefore hold up the queue of customers). The young team leader was articulate and intelligent, explained everything clearly, and also suggested some very minor modifications to the job (which I accepted, since they were obviously sensible). There were two visits, the first to power flush the system and change the pump; the second ten days later to drain and refill with anti-corrosive. We were not left without heat in between. I liked the boss, who came on the second visit. The other men were quiet, efficient and unobtrusive, and carried out the work with minimum disruption. The work took less time than I had expected, which perhaps partly explains the modest cost. I did some web research into charges. These were very reasonable; our one-time nationwide gas supplier (I can't name them, or this posting may be automatically rejected, but you know who they are, and I have had difficulties with them in the past) came in at almost double the price. In consequence I got this firm to do some additional work (adding a magnetic filter), and will be calling them back to install a gas fire in the New Year. I would happily recommend them, and am grateful to Rated People too for providing an invaluable service. I shall be using them again too. "
