Budget Under £100

Job Our boiler fires and the heating comes on even when the temperature in the house is higher than that set on the thermostat. The central heating system and boiler are 4.5 years old. We have changed the battery in thermostat but it has not made a difference.

Budget Under £100

Job I've been away from home for 3 days and returned to find I do not have hot water in either the taps or the heaters. The boiler's pressure had dropped below the recommended level and I suspected this was the problem. I fixed this by following the boiler's manual, returning the pressure to the recommended level. This has not fixed my problem, though. I don't have the make/model of the boiler with me. It's gas fired & electric. I bought the house late last year, so do not have the service history. The survey indicated it appeared to be in satisfactory condition.

Budget Under £250

Job I need to replace the wall timer because it will not turn the heating on, on the first two timer settings but it does work on the third timer setting. (Ie: It allows you to turn on / off the heating or hot water up to three times each day I also need someone to look at my Hot Water Tank and hopefully explain why my hot water doesn't seem to be linked to the Honeywell Wall Heating / Hot Water timer settings. (which was an issue before I had problems with my timer)

For someone who works long hours during the week, finding a tradesman who is willing to have evening appointments / work weekends is priceless. Rang me on the day to confirm time / appointment and arrived on time. Articuately explained the root cause of my heating issues and offered a couple of options to fix it. John

Comment Clinton's price was very competitive and even though there were a few unforeseen issues which were dealt with very efficiently the priced stayed the same, no hidden charges or extras. Clinton is very professional, friendly, efficient and exceptionally tidy. Clinton suggested a boiler with a 5 year warranty and it is brilliant, great suggestion. I thought changing a boiler would be a huge upheaval but Clinton and Oli made it seem very easy. The two lads are very trustworthy. I felt confident enough to give them keys so they could come back the next day and finish off and I could go to work. I came back and all the work was done, all the rubbish had gone and the house was tidier than I left it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Clinton! I shall be telling all my friends about him! Dillon

Job Hot water issues, boiler fires fine to provide heating, and while heating is on I can get limited hot water from the kitchen taps. Otherwise I get icy water and the boiler doesn't fire when I turn the taps on. Bathroom doesn't get any hot water at all and the cold water which comes out is a pathetic trickle. Neighbours say the boilers have all had repeated failure of a heating element or something, it goes every 12 months but the council fixes it. Unfortunately I own my flat and can't rely on this yearly free fix! Boiler is a Worcester 28CDi and shold give heating when the timer says to, hot water is on demand.
