i would like to get cental heating installed in my studio flat in hackney. i would require the installation of a boiler and three radiators.
GBP plumbing installed central heating in my new flat. After obtaining several quotes I went with GBP as I felt most confident allowing them to do the work. Gareth was very clear in setting out the work that he would do and made the process very easy and stress free. The work was carried out within the timescale as stated and i was very happy with the work that Gareth and Chris did. Thankyou!

Over the last few days the boiler has either taken a really long time to heat our hot water or not heated it at all. Have tried re-pressurising / turning system off and re-setting etc.
Contacted me quickly, turned up on time, costs for labour and parts seemed extremely fair and good value. Above all, fantastic customer service, Marik and his workmate went above and beyond to get the job done for me asap. Will now be using Singh & Sons for all our plumbing and heating servicing / repairs.

Looking for a local gas engineer to give our combi boiler (Potterton Performa 24) a safety check, and fit a new timeswitch to replace the current one (which isn't very good at keeping the time)
Friendly, efficient service, and at a reasonable price. Discovered extra work needed done to make my gas hob safe, and was able to sort it straight away.

Vailant boiler model TURBOMAX VUW GB 252/2-5 R1, combination boiler TURBOMAX PLUS 824E. It displays error code F28. The manual says: "Boiler goes to lock out. No gas, Insufficient gas, Incorrect gas valve adjustment, electrode defective, ignition lead defect, electronic igniter defective." Transco engineer visited and said: "The igniter is working. Gas pressure is fine." Online trade blog research says: Quick fix. Check green resistor. It should be 68 ohms. If it isn't then the rectifier in the lead to the gas valve has gone and blown the resistor. Need to change lead and pcb. Don't change lead without changing pcb or you'll blow the new board." Can you do this job? How much will it cost?
The Engineer was quick to reply and visit. He seemed knowledgeable, professional, confident and friendly. Only 4 stars because, mysteriously, the fault did not appear while the engineer was here for about two hours. The boiler just worked without major problems. When he left, it was working as well as when he arrived. I supervised the work from beginning to end, asked many questions and was happy with the complete, plausible answers. The very next morning the boiler stopped working again with the same elusive, intermittent fault. After having spent two weeks without hot water, my family decided to opt for British Gas homecare service, which includes parts, labour, unlimited call-outs, 24/7 freephone, annual service, all inclusive. In all fairness, the engineer DID diagnose a related problem that required a new part. When researching it on the net I found that many other people had had the same problem and the solution was exactly what he had suggested. Plus points there! When leaving he was reluctant to charge me but said, considering the circumstances, he would accept any amount I thought his work was worth. Nice touch. I would have no hesitation to call his company again but, sadly for them, I hope it won't be necessary.

I'm not sure
The shower in our new flat can not get a consistent heat (either really hot or really cold!) and we believe that we need a new boiler. It is a small falt, the boiler is currently on a external wall in the kitchen of a basement flat. There 3 radiators.

Updated : My central heating system is servo warm. A while ago it started to leak. My huband attempted to see why it was leaking. He opened the panel, which also houses the boiler and the panel came away due to a rusted joint. The system was working up until then. I don't think the boiler needs replacing Original : my servo warm needs fixing. The radiator that houses the boiler needs the panel repaired. The joint that holds the panel has rusted to such extent that the panel has come away.
