The boiler stopped working last night - the gas won't ignite. We tried resetting and switching it on/off to no avail as we thought it may have overheated. Not sure what to do but want it fixed ASAP because its freezing
Very quick to respond, very helpful, no messing around, honest, straight forward, and got the job done. HIghly recommendGeorge
boiler over 10 yrs old, parts easy to come by as last local engineer fixed it, however not sure when last serviced. not sure off brand. believe it maybe just thermostat as no hot water.
our boiler broke down again within a week. Tried to contact him again but he was on holiday and never heard from him again.Vanessa
Hi, the fault light has come on my Pulsacoil 2000 boiler and I am getting no hot water. I have reset it and it worked for a day or 2 then faulted again. Has been happening for around 10 dsays faulting every couple of days. Have checked the water level in the header tank, which was low so topped it up. Over the past 6 months or so I've had to top the water level up 2 or 3 times - is that normal? Anyway, I tried resetting the boiler again yesterday and fault light stayed on. I then powered off the boiler and turned off the timer. Powered it back on after 20 mins and fault light cleared again so will try heating the water using the boost button. Could do with having this looked into asap - this Friday 16th Dec would be ideal if possible? I'm located in East Dulwich, SE22 8GB.
Richard came to look at the boiler very quickly after submitting my job, assessed the required fix (2 x leaking immersion heaters) at no charge. We were happy with service so asked him to proceed. Parts were ordered and took 3 days to arrive, as soon as they did Richard was round to install them. Job complete within 2 hours. We had hit water again! I'd recommend Richard - did a good job at reasonable costs and in a timely fashion.Paul
It is very difficult getting someone who wont take you to the cleaners with repairs etc.
I thought the company where very fair in the way they handle repairs, they communicated well and gave me the option before proceeding.
It ended up that I did need a new boiler as the was more cost effected, however the company did the install on the fitters day off.
Thanks to Reece for communiucation and Danny (fitter) for his sence of urgency and advice.Gareth
Current boiler is quite old (13-15yrs) and not firing. Needs replacing
After meeting several engineers and getting various quotes, I chose to have Darren install my boiler not only because of his very competitive rates but also because he seemed very straightforward and professional. He and his colleague worked hard on the entire installation of my boiler without cutting any corners. The job was finished ahead of schedule and within budget. I am very happy with the result and would definitely recommend him.

This is the boiler in a flat we own occupied by a tenant. The agent advises the heat exchange unit is leaking and cannot be repaired as parts are not available, but we don't know if this has been checked. But if it cannot be repaired we are anxious to have it replaced as quickly as possible because there is currently no heating at the flat

NEW HOT WATER SYSTEM:
Current hot water and heating system is as follows: There is a gas boiler with flue discharging into an internal SE-duct/ U-duct which serves the central heating radiators only. The hot water is supplied by a cold water storage tank feeding two hot water cylinders, both mounted behind the bathroom wall, and supplying hot water to taps. Currently the hot water pressure is too low for a mains supplied shower. Shower is electric (Mira Sport).
We would like to increase the hot water pressure in order to be able to fit a mains supplied hot water shower in the bathroom. Based on two different surveys we have done already, we are aware of at least two different options:
Option 1: Keep current gas boiler for central heating and replace hot water tanks with either an unvented hot water cylinder or an alternative electric powered hot water boiler
Option 2: Remove entire current system and replace with a condensing combi-boiler, e.g. Worcester Bosch
Obviously, the work would involve all necessary prep and making good of pipes, electrics, walls, etc. And we would expect clean, tidy workmanship and full clear up after completion.
We also require kitchen and bathroom refit. Please see below for details. We would be open to quotes for just this job, or all jobs combined.
KITCHEN REFIT:
Remove current kitchen: worktop, 5 under worktop cupboards & 4 wall cupboards, oven and hob, extractor, sink, lino flooring
Rewiring electrics
Refitting plumbing
Repairing and plastering walls
Lay new wooden floor to match lounge
Fit new cabinets
Fit new appliances – cooker, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, sink & taps
Adding lowered ceiling and lights and plaster
Possibly also refitting the built in larder with a new layout and door
Please can you give two prices, one including removal of current kitchen, and one excluding removal.
BATHROOM REFIT:
Remove old suite (bath, sink and toilet)
Remove wall tiles (aprx 8 m2) and floor tiles (aprx 3 m2)
Fit new shower (over bath), bath, shower screen, sink, and toilet
Electrics and plumbing as required
Make good walls, plaster where necessary
Tile walls and floor (aprx 20 m2)
Please give two prices, one including all of the above, the for only isolating plumbing for removal of suite, making good walls/plumbing, fitting suite, moving/replacing plumbing and electrics.

Geminox combi boiler fitted with a Siemens RVA3.280 control needs to be fixed. Another engineer has suggested that it need to be replaced because he said that there "was a problem with the circuits". This is a very expensive solution and is unconvincing.
