I have a Main Medway Super boiler. The pilot light ignites but the system does not product hot water. Before purchasing a new boiler outright I would like to try cheaper options to fix the problem and have purchased a replacement thermostat (part details shown below) and would like the following: 1. quote to install the new thermostat; and 2. indication of other potential replacement parts to try if theremostat is not the problem along with quote. Boiler has failed for third consecutive winter. It is a Potterton Kingfisher floorstanding model and we are looking at replacing it. House is prob. too big for a combi (5/6 beds and 2 bathrooms) so looking at Regular or System boiler (what's the difference?). Boiler currently not working, so no heating, so could do with quick response and turnaround time.
I cannot fault Jeff and his team for their work. They started and finished the job quickly, were reliable, tidy and I was really pleased with the quote. Would definitely recommend.

I have a Glow Worm 45/56 fire and back burner unit. The pilot light is on but the main jets that ignite the central heating and hot water fail to come on.
STEVE FROM SMB CONTACTED ME WITHIN A FEW HOURS. HE CALLED THE SAME DAY AND DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY. HE KEPT IN CONTACT BY TEXT AND PHONE CONTINUALLY UPDATING ME ON WHEN HE WOULD CALL, THE PROBLEM WHEN HE IDENTIFIED IT AND THE COST, I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM AND HAVE NO PROBLEM USING HIM AGAIN.

Steve from SMB was quick to come around and sort out my mum & dads heating problems. He is very down to Earth and his price was reasonable. He works quickly and leaves no mess, not like some tradesman! I found Steve very easy to talk to and he explained what was needed. His advice was excellent and he appears to be very experienced in all that he does. I will be telling others if very have a Heating or Plumping problem to call SMB and speak to Steve. hi guys , looking for heating/plumber . we have 12 year old glow worm system boiler thats just about had it !!! so we are looking to fit a new Glow worm Ultracom2 18SXI System Boiler Natural Gas in its place . And swap 6 rads to new ones the identicle size with new trv valves . the cylinder in the cupboard looks new and the pump is newish to . So where just looking for labour cost only and may lead on to more work
