I was really worried because we have a really old boiler which stopped working, I didnt want to replace it and have it cost a fortune. I tried the main boiler company but was quoted a fortune so I decided to try rated people. He was amazing, the price he quoted was really good and even though it turned out that he was going to have to not only replace the boiler but also the pipes, which required him to move cupboards and work in tight spaces he never charged a penny more or complained. Brilliant work.

I have a Gas Central Heating system. I have just had a new boiler installed, the system was power flushed at the same time, and a Magnaclean filter installed. One radiator stays cold in the middle and only heats up at the edges. The other radiators are OK. I've been told that the best thing to do is to replace this radiator as it is PROBABLY severely sludged or rusted up inside. Apparently it could be temporarily disconnected from the rest of the system and given an individual power flush, but there is only a 1 in 4 chance that this would cure the problem, and if it didn't then I'd have to replace it. The radiator is approx 600mm high x 1200 mm wide. I don't know the exact technical term but I think it's called a "double panel" type. It's over 20 years old and a pretty basic design. If it does need to be replaced I don't want anything too fancy, just reliable.
