I have a combi boiler, which takes about 10 mins to produce hot water through the taps. The water then stays hot for about 2-3 mins and then goes cold for around 10 and then repeats this cycle.
Butterworth Heating came out to view the repair on my boiler with in two day of my job being on this site. He checked the boiler and left to get some parts, he said he would be back in touch to arrange fitting etc. after two days i called butterworths to see if he had managed to locate the parts, no answer. the next day i called again and left a message on his answer machine asking for him to contact me with an update. I put another 2 calls into butterworths with no reply. complete waste of time DO NOT USE.

I want to renovate a 1960s built house with a single bathroom. It has the original gas fired heating system. I am currently in the process of buying a house and would like the boiler checking. I have seen your ad in 4Locals which estimated �£45 service. Would the checking of x2 gas fires also be included within this? I would also like a quote on any work that needs to be done as a necessity and a second quote for modernising the whole heating system. Our boiler model is Ideal Slimline Classic SE9 FF. It has now stopped working and symptoms before it stopped were: 1. It kept making a clicking sound, like it was constantly trying to light. 2. The radiators would heat up, even when the thermostat was turned all the way down. This job isn't an emergency as we have a BoilerMate 2000 in the airing cupboard, which is providing hot water and heating as needed - although this is only a stop gap. I'd like someone to come out and quote for whatever repair is needed please. Many thanks.
