"We recently were hit with a big gas bill and decided it was time for a new boiler, with ours being 25+ years old it was no longer efficient, plus we wanted a combi boiler so we could get rid of both water tanks and have a new shower put in. Having gotten a quote off here from Go-green energy along with 2/3 others from local firms, we decided to get the job done by go-green. Firstly, on two occasions the day before the job was due to start we received a text advising that they wouldnt be coming the next day, this was at around 7pm on the night before on both occasions. After the second time we received a mail and a text confirming that they would fit us a new mira coda mixer shower by way of apology for the delays. fine, or so we thought. The day of the work came and the boiler was done, we cam ehome from work, had a look at it and everything looked fine. We were also told by the plumber that the shower piping had been done, meaning that tiles had been removed from our bathroom wall and the pipe left exposed but capped. We were told to call go-green once we had retiled the bathroom (which we hadn't planned on doing for some time as we hadn't discussed the shower being fitted that day or what would be involved in order for it to be fitted) and they would come round and fit the shower etc. We arranged a date on ratedpeople for them to come round and do the shower after I had retiled the bathroom, this was for a wednesday approx 3 weeks ago, on the monday we texted the plumber to confirm he would be coming but had no reply. Wednesday came and the plumber didnt turn up and his phone was off. After around 6 attempts at calling we spoke to the other plumber who had come on the day the boiler was fitted, he had no idea that they were due to visit us that day or indeed any other day but promised he'd get someone to call us back, this was three weeks ago and despite over 10 calls, 2 texts and 2 mails through this site we still haven't heard back. Back to the shower, we decided to cut our losses and install it ourselves until we realized that the plumber hadn't 'plumbed' the shower pipes in at all, he had simply hung a loose pipe and elbow onto the wall to give the impression that this had been done. he hadn't connected any of the pipes under the bath whatsoever. We have also since discovered that the water tank in our loft hadn't been removed which was part of the quote, it had simply been disconnected and left as it was up there. there were also several small issues such as the boiler pressure gauge being in the red area after the plumber had left (we managed to get this altered through a friend), the mess left by the plumbers, and the lack of detail about some replacement radiators we'd discussed getting a quote for. Our assumption is that the plumbers didn't want to do the 'extra' bits of the job due to the work required and simply fit a new boiler but thats it, however our confidence in their tradescraft is such that we have got another heating company coming round to check the plumbing of the boiler as we cannot be sure it has been done to a satisfactory standard. We are also in the process of opening a complaint with trading standards due to the cost of having to buy the shower, get the plumbing done under the bath and retiling along with the hassle of having to do the majority of this myself at weekends and the stress it has caused my pregnant wife who worries at the best of times. In the meantime i would not and could not recommend this firm to anyone. We have a record of texts and emails to confirm all of the above is true, many of the mails are actually on this site. we have only now rated the plumbers due to the bathroom only just having been completed and we wanted to wait to see if any other problems came to light."
