We've recently bought a house in Frome and are due to move in at the end of next month. We commissioned a homebuyers' survey which suggests we need to take a look at the boiler, with a view to either having it serviced or replaced. Initially we'd need someone to come and test the heating system, and then advise whether we need to repair or renew the boiler. A general building contractor who we asked to look at some other areas in the house said he thought it would cost around £1.5k to replace the boiler, but it wold be good to get a proper quote from an engineer for replacing / repairing the boiler if it needs it. Whichever is more economic we'll go with asap before moving in, as we don't fancy our chances in December with a dodgy boiler....
I'd recommend Dave to anyone, he gave a good value, speedy but thorough service to an old boiler. He arrived on time and was neat and efficient.
