central heating problem in expansion tank. this tank is getting hot . it does this even when only hot water is on. no water appears to be venting into it but the copper vent pipe that goes into the expansion tank gets very hot very quickly and i think it may just be this which is heating the hot water. someone has suggested there may be a pronlem with some pipework. I have normal 2 storey house with open vented system
fantastic service. I logged on with my job at 07.30. 15 minutes later he called and talked over the problem. He called out early the next day before i went to work and sorted my problem there and then. He was there about 15 minutes but didnt even charge me!! I will certainly call them if i have another problem and recommend to all my friends too.

We have a gas fire still connected to the gas pipe but the previous owners of the house had the tap took out and a screw in cap put in as they had small children and didn't trust them around a fire. Was told it was in working condition. Just need it reconnecting and checking the fire over.
