Job 2x tall cabinets with double electric oven and 50/50 fridge, gas hob, built in washing machine and dishwasher, 6x 600 base units 6x top cabinets and built in venting extractor. Solid walnut tops, tiling splashbacks and floor, everything supplied. Should be a simple job, part of a refurb, kitchen has been rewired.

Budget I'm not sure

Job Need a quote for a very tired kitchen. The walls are currently tiled floor to ceiling, and need removing and making good (after removal of existing units, worktop, cupboards and sink unit). Likewise removal of existing polystyrene ceiling tiles, and vinyl floor tiles. Afterwards, fit quality new cupboards, worktop and sink unit. Possible fitting of false ceiling and replacement of existing strip lighting. New flooring required to lay over existing concreted floor (requires levelling). The only new appliances required would be an extractor unit over stove, to replace existing inadequate 'Vent-Axia' wall extractor fan unit. Kitchen size about 12'x8'.

Comment Darren of DB Home Improvements is a tradesman who provides a quality service, at reasonable cost. I was particularly impressed with his honesty, politeness, and the attention to detail in his workmanship. I am also grateful to him for the alterations he suggested, which not only proved to be on completion more aesthetically pleasing, but were also very cost effective. Darren undertook to completely refurbish my 1970s kitchen, which involved the removal of wall to ceiling floor and ceiling tiles, and of course the complete removal of the old units, to leave a bare shell of a room. The resultant rubbish was efficiently and professionally disposed of. There then followed a complete transformation involving the rearrangement of electrics and plumbing, making good walls and ceiling, boxing in pipes etc. All this prior to the middle and final stages of fiiting the units, wall and floor tiling, and painting. The finished job is testimony to his hard work which took just 9 working days from start to finish. I therefore would have no hesitation in recommending Darren for this sort of work, although I am confident that his skills would be equal to the job for other endeavours. Just keep him supplied with endless cups of coffee, and he'll do you a cracking job! Michael
