Budget Under £250

Job Need someone to install a U shape laminate worktop for me, 3 lengths, 2 mitres, 2 cut outs (hob and sink). This is a kitchen makeover.

Comment Although this was a relatively small job, it was no trouble for Steve and he completed the work to a high standard. He was polite, on time, reasonably priced and got on with the job. I would have to say he strikes me as a bit of a perfectionist (no bad thing), and I would have no trouble using him again or recommending him. Christopher

Budget Under £100

Job Built in fridge door is sagging on its hinges. Could be that the MDF carcase, or maybe hinges have failed.

Comment Kevin responded very quickly to a job that had me completely baffled. The built-in Neff fridge door was sagging and it wasn't clear whether the Magnet cabinet was at fault or the metal fridge door itself. He quickly identified the problem, got on the internet with the correct serial number, and ordered a new set of Neff hinges. It was apparent that they would not be delivered for a couple of weeks, so he temporarily swapped the old hinges around to overcome the problem. He came back later with the new hinges and fixed them. I was very pleased with his dedication and ingenuity, and would certainly employ him again for those tricky jobs. Full marks. David

Budget Under £2,000

Job Kitchen 2.5m square. Worktop 7m run max. Vinyl required 60% area. New s/s sink & drainer.

Comment Marcin had a difficult job to do in replacing the worktops and sink over non-standard built-in cupboards in a very small kitchen. This required a lot of adaptation, and he coped brilliantly. He was prepared to wait and do the job while the occupants were away, and I never had any doubts about the security of their possessions. I would employ him again. David
