Unsold Job, Updated Details : The wood has been bought and is in 2 pieces and just need cutting to size and installing Original : To cut and fit a wooden kitchen worktop, including safe (CORGI) approved disconnection and re-connection of gas hob and removal and replacement of sink.
Darius came at very short notice to fit a new wooden kitchen worktop on a Sunday. His work was to a very high standard. We really liked his perfectionist approach, and would definitely ask him to help on future carpentry jobs. He was also happy to advise on other jobs, and hoe to do them ourselves, and even arranged for a gas man to come around a couple of hours after he left to re-fit the hob.

Old kitched cabinet doors and drawers to be replaced with new doors which I have purcahsed already. The existing hinge positions need to ne adjusted to aligne with hinge positions on new doors. There are 14 doors and 5 drawers and drawer front that need replacing. Cornices and pelmets also need to be replaced
Kornix got on with the job with no fuss and found solutions to problems that arose during installation. He is a real professional and obvioulsy enjoys what he does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Also, he is a tidy worker.

It is a small kitchen. I have measured it, used Ikea kitchen planner and chosen £1200 kitchen including units, oven, hob and extractor fans. Existing washing machine and fridge to remain.
The guy came to measure up but never got back to me with a quote. While he was very pleasant, he didn't seem to know what he was doing and appeared out of his depth.

Needs plastering and new lights to fit a rigdid kitchen and tile the floor.
As you well know, the reason you were not paid the full amount of monies owned to you (even though you were paid £1200 upfront), was due to your standard of work or should I say lack of any standard work, your inability to listen to your client and your sheer lack of respect for your clientâ??s property which was terrible, I lost faith in your ability to work without damaging my top of the range kitchen units, worktop and appliances. I am currently in the process of rectifying all your mistakes from the tiled floor which has had to come up and re-laid, to the electrics which had to be rewired, to replacing the damaged appliances, to redoing the plumbing, redoing the gas supply, the list goes on and on. I have photographic of all the damage youâ??ve done. I informed you of my actions verbally and by writing and removed you from the property after reporting you to Trading Standards and taking their advice not to pay you the remainder of the monies owned which was a further £1200 and to employ a builder who could complete the works to a high standard. I would not recommend you as a builder to anyone.

None of usual salesmen lark of '50% discounts if you agree today', Peter at Grey Green designs the kitchen, show a price breakdown of each cabinet (and at a set 10% off, it still came in cheaper that another 60% off quote I had for the same kitchen make) and then fits the kitchen as well. I know have a beautiful kitchen installed to a very high quality. I definitely recommend Grey Green!!!
