Brick up an existing door and lime render to outside (where door was only).
Enlarge existing door opening into kitchen with new lintel over.
New opening and window installed at the end of the kitchen with new lintel over.
Strengthening of kitchen ceiling joists.
Removal of cement render to outside wall of kitchen - replace with lime plaster.
Plaster kitchen and dining room.
Remove dining room window and brickwork below to install new door and step.
Amendment to existing kitchen plumbing and gas pipe.
New plumbing, drainage, and mechanical vent to understairs cupboard.
At no point was any work satisfactory completed and we would not like any other customer to go through the same problems that we faced with this particular builder. The quality of the work has been reported to trading standards.

A well known store has planned & priced kitchen units, including installation. The materials quote is good but the price for installation is far too high in my opinion. I have until the end of the month to confirm the order, delivery is about six weeks from placing an order. The electrical work should only require disconnection/reconnection of existing cooker, hob & of a new extractor. I need to sort out an installation estimate asap.
