Over £30,000
We want to create a loft conversion with a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. There is an existing loft room but it does not have stair access. We would like to add one or two dormers subject to planning consent. The existing loft room is 3.9x3.4 metres and the other roof is a similar size. We complete on the house by 31 October and would like to start the work as soon as possible after that date. We also want to convert a garage and replace kitchen and a shower room.
Initially we were pleased with the relationship we developed with the team. As the project went on we realised that they were not likely to finish on time and were taking on work which they were not qualified to do. The quality of the decorating was poor as there was no real preparation. In the end we had to withdraw the decorating and are now having this completely redone. The contracted works have not been completed and they moved on to a new job and refused to complete the work. If you use this company ensure that you hold back plenty on money to ensure that they finish. The project overran by a month and is not going to be completed by them.
