Job Intention is to create dormer to the maximum dimensions under "permitted development" to create a bedroom with an ensuite and space permitting perhaps a small office as well? to include - external structure and internal fitting out. - also a roof terrace if planning permission can be obtained. - attention will also be required to remaining roof structure to front as supporting timbers are not adequate and tiles need replacement. These potentially contain asbestos so risk assessment and appropriate procedures will be required.

Comment 2nd attempt at posting a rating here - the 1st got lost for some reason. Will try and write as articulately as last time. Employed michael and victor on the back of excellent ratings on rated people and following a visit to a previous job and discussion with the client about the quality of work and the way in which it was undertaken. our job is now 5 weeks in and pretty much on schedule. We have felt consulted at each stage and no decisions have been made without our opportunity to discuss - michael has also on a number of occasions made recommendations including upgrading our velux windows to slightly more expensive top hung (which he bore the cost for). One of my primary concerns was ensuring the builder we selected was fully uptospeed with building regulations and would be build to the necessary specification. This has not been a problem and m&v are clearly very knowledgable in this area as proven by a number of meetings with building control that i have attended - these were proactively arranged between michael and islington building control. A few things more things to add....when "small" spec changes occur (as they do) i do not feel that michael is counting the pennies and most are absorbed into the overall cost. Obviously large spec changes (in our case upgrading our roof tiles) incur extra charge as is fair. so far the guys have been reliable and polite and the work meets our expectation. i am providing this reference midway on request of michael, i assume to ensure other prospective clients have the confidence to employ them - I have no problem writing this recommendation on the basis of everything i have experienced to date and i do not expect this opinion to change. i will of course provide full feedback at the end of the job. james
