"C.A.P.D have done a fantastic job of renovating my back-to-back house in the Burley/Kirkstall area of Leeds. Even though the job turned out to be a lot smaller than originally planned (due to Leeds Council refusing planning permission for a dormer for the loft conversion in a street where 90% of the houses already had dormers!) I felt I was treated in the same way as a client who had a far larger budget. No detail was too small to discuss and Gavin’s advice and guidance was very welcome. Some of his ideas turned out to be much better than I could have imagined or would have thought of myself. The work included: A complete refurbishment of the bathroom. Boarding out the attic to form a study room and storage area with velux window, enlarged loft access and strengthened floor. New banisters in stairwell. Re-plastering of bathroom, stairwell and bedroom walls. Building new cupboards to hide electric and gas meters in lounge/dining room and boxing in exposed pipework. Fitting new radiators. Replacing and updating the electrics and wiring to meet British standards. Replacing the screed on the old fire hearths. The work was discussed in detail and agreed in advance. Payment terms were also agreed with a detailed contract drawn up to ensure both parties clearly understood what would be done and the cost of each area of work. This gave me a lot of confidence in the company and that I would only pay for work that had been completed and inspected by me first. The work wasn’t easy because the house was old, walls weren’t straight and space was limited but Gavin and his team of builders took the time to ensure it was all done to a very high standard despite the obstacles encountered at every stage of the project. Even at the end Gavin ensured that some minor work was re-done where he wasn’t satisfied with the standard of finish. I was very impressed with his attention to detail, his honesty and reliability. The work was completed on time and within budget with no hidden costs The work has turned out to be great value for money and I am very happy with the professional service provided throughout the project. Gavin is also a very friendly and approachable guy who was always available to discuss any aspect of the project. I will definitely be using C.A.P.D again and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any size of building or renovation work. "
