"I was disappointed that the painter was expected to put the bottom of his ladder in the road, just round a corner, in order to reach the window. I had expected that scaffolding would be used, but did not explicitly ask whether this would be the case. I was unhappy with the safety of the ladder in the road so paid an extra £50 for a friend of the decorator to slow down the traffic in one direction while I did the same with cars coming from the other direction. The job done was fine, though the clearing up afterwards not the best."
