Main job: To fill in cracks, sand down uneven areas and paint ceilings, walls, bannisters in hall, staircase and landing areas. 2nd job to repair cracks showing through papered bedroom ceiling and repaint ceiling. 3rd job: To reseal around eight double glazed windows inside house. Require work to be completed prior to end of July.
Some Poor Workmanship and Erratic time-keeping and quality of work – Needs to be watched and explain needs in detail - Would not Recommend and don’t get drawn in by his outward pleasant and eager behaviour. Unfortunately I couldn’t recommend him to do work for anyone. He might have the skills but one needs to be constantly watchful. • A pleasant and ‘nice’ guy but turned out to be rather expensive (compared to work that two neighbours are having done) • Erratic timekeeping – to suit himself rather than customer – turned up late and left early and didn’t turn up one day because his partner needed him to drive her to Wales! Too busy trying to rush off at the end before checking up on areas worked in is tidy. Worked 4 days initially but in fact was the equivalence of 2 ½ full days (20 hours) and had to have him come back to rectify some bits but still left other easy mistakes and refused to come back (not in his interest) • Needs to have a close eye kept on him – needed to explain things several times and ensure things were not missed – struggled to keep abreast of several jobs at once and would not rectify previous poor workmanship e.g. those divots/dents in the wall were done before and not my job – even though instructed to make walls good before painting (does not give customer the option until it’s too late as happened several times). • Doesn’t like to do much ‘prepping’ before painting – (sanding rough spots on walls, etc.) yet experts say that ‘prepping’ is two-thirds of the job. If one doesn’t prep well then the end result will be mediocre! • Carelessness in painting – leading to overruns on to woodwork (walls onto door frames and then walls onto pipes etc.), which are not removed unless one constantly reminds him to remove them or re-paint the woodwork. Some work really was sloppy and very amateurish to say the least. • Poor touching up work - Prefers to touch up walls that have been painted with a roller, with a paintbrush, even though it leaves a different finish, often ‘shiny’ – disregarding wishes of customer • Repaired one crack and ceiling cracks well, but did a very poor job on another crack on an external wall so that it appeared worse than before he started. • Work David offered (and insisted) on doing for ‘free’ didn’t turn out to be free - £113.00 extra!) • Cleaning up - Not so good on clean-up – when windows were to be resealed – a lot of mess left and previous filler not removed from window-frames. Had to have David back 3 times to rectify his errors, but the last day, he rushed in and out, painting parts of a wall with brush (not roller as the rest of the wall was done), leaving overruns, and left, putting a message through the letterbox before dashing to his van and driving quickly off. Strip walls, make good, paint walls, skirtings and architraves. Doors are stained wood.
The estimate was competitive, the work was done promptly and with care. The area was always left in a tidy condition at the end of the day. I would ask this decorator to quote again in the future.

lee did a fantastic job i would recomend him to anyone .he was punctual and tidy and flexibly worked around me.i am hoping to have him back soon for some more decorating.lee was very reasonably priced and even said i could pay in installments.i couldn t have asked for a better service, a very friendly chap and i wish him all the best in the future!

Lee has done an excellent job at a good price. We had no problems leaving him carry out the work and he made sure that we were happy at each stage. We would have no doubts in recommending him to others and in fact we have already booked him to paint the outside of the house next month.

roof area measures approximately 1.5m by 3.5m. Area needs new paper and paint after slight water damage from my flat above. Water damage from washing machine. Left a slight sag in the wallpaper so will need replacing
