Insurance backed guarantee vital. It's a 4 bedroom chalet bungalow + garage.
I engaged them to paint the exterior of my house and carry out repairs/replacements to soffits, window sills, header boards and a door. They responded very promptly to my initial enquiry, visited the next day and made a very reasonable estimate. I was impressed with their approach and gave them the job even though they were not the cheapest. The work was started the following week and carried out expeditiously and to a very high standard. One or two items came to light as the work progressed, but they fixed them free as they went along, although they had not been included in the estimate (they were relatively small items, so I don’t suppose the same would have applied to more serious problems!). They were polite, friendly and professional throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending them. I would certainly go back to them if I needed similar work carried out again.

This is a detached 2 storey house on a slope. The front of the house had a plastic covering sprayed on it 12 to 15 years ago, which is peeling off, this needs to be removed and the whole outside of the house prepared and painted.
Ricky and his colleagues arrived early every morning. They were pleasant, polite and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. Ricky would always let me know what they were going to do that day, if there was any query he would ring - communications on this job were excellent They carried out the work exactly as in the quote, and a bit extra, like washing down the conservatory roof and the porch windows I am very please with the finished job and have no hesitation in recommending Ricky and A1 Decorators.

We were very impresssed with him. He kept us informed at all times. We had an estimate before the job which he kept to. One of his employees Mark, did an excellent job, very meticulous and efficient. Scaffolders were sent and they were very pleasant and efficient. John kept checking that all was ok. We would definitely use him again.

Project is an extended and completely refurbished bungalow with a gross floor area of 100sq.m. comprising kitchen/dining room, sitting room, bedroom, study, cloak room, vestibule and inner hall. All internal doors in pre-finished hardwood within softwood gloss-painted linings, doorstop and architrave. All ceilings are freshly plastered and to be emulsioned brilliant white as will 'most' of the walls. (the bathroom is fully tiled, the cloak room half-tiled and the sitting room might be wall-papered) The sitting room has a vaulted ceiling rising up to 4.0m in the centre and the ding area is similarly vaulted rising to about 3.0m. All external joinery (windows and doors) is pre-finshed and only 3 window-boards will require gloss painting as most are granite or tiled. 120 high skirting will require to be gloss-painted in the study, bedroom, dining room, sitting room, vestibule and inner hall where their is a light well rising to about 3.0m. There are three Velux windows and are pre-finished in white...... one within the light well and two over the dining area.
