My house is a two-storey courtyard property, with two street-facing walls. I wish to have the two street-facing walls and one two-storey side elevation of the house redecorated. (I need to have the other elevation re-rendered and I have posted a separate job for that.) The plot is circa 13m x 9m. The ground-floor walls are mixture of cobble and rendered brick, and the side elevation is rendered brick. Some render needs to repaired and brickwork repointed in place. The woodwork also needs decoration, including some timber plantboxes.
Neil was great – very reliable, easy to deal with, and did a very good job. The only possible negative is that he underestimated the amount of time he’d require; however, he didn’t raise the matter, I did. One day I noticed him working away diligently, battling through my overgrown bamboo, when I realised that he’d need more days than he’d quoted for. I raised the subject with him and he even tried to refuse any additional payment – “A quote is a quote”, in his words. All in all, a pleasure to deal with.

Painting ceilings, walls and woodwork in 2 bed flat. No wallpapering or stripping required. No windows and only one wooden sill. Lounge/diner, 2 bedrooms, hallway, cloakroom, skirtings only in kitchen, small enclosed balcony area. Light colours so no difficult coverage issues.
This was a difficult job for me to organise from a distance, decorating my elderly mother's flat, Sussex Housepainters were efficient and trustworthy and very helpful.

1 room, wallpaper has been stripped, lots of small holes in wall where the walls are old and we removed a dado rail - it needs poly-filling/ plastering or lining paper put up. Then the whole room needs painting - its a dark color so a couple of coats. Also the skirting boards need painting the same color. We have about a metre of skirting board that needs replacing where we removed the fireplace. Its a large victorian lounge with high ceilings.
Oliver was really friendly, we're were totally redecorating our lounge and as well as helping us with repainting amongst other things, he was really helpful at offering practical advice to keep the costs down. Will use again.

Really impressed by the quality of workmanship from Darren and Paul. The work necessitated a high level of attention to detail which they delivered upon, ensuring that we were happy at every stage with the job. Will not hesitate to recommend or use them again, and hope to use them in the future to complete some further renovations to the house.
