I am looking for a painter/decorator for potentially two jobs at my home in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire: 1. Lounge - 12 ft x 12 ft 9 (includes lining the walls with paper, and painting the ceiling, coving, walls, and skirting). I have removed old wallpaper from the room and concluded that the walls will need to be lined with paper. 2. Kitchen-diner - 13 ft 4 x 14 ft 10 (painting the ceiling, coving, walls, and skirting). The area to be painted is much smaller than the room size suggests because of a large window and fitted kitchen cupboards). I definitely need a painter/decorator for the first job, but have not yet made up my mind on the second. I would therefore like separate quotes for the two jobs. I am also looking for the work to be done this month.
Jeff decorated two rooms for me, to a tight timetable, to a high standard and at a very good price. I would certainly be willing to use him again.

Mark and Ian repaired and painted our external window frames and doors in Summer 2010. They are very professional and totally trustworthy, really lovely fellas, very polite and a good laugh too. Did a fantastic job, they took great care in every detail and even hoovered up any dust from the sanding down. We are delighted with the results and recommended them to family and friends. In Autumn 2010 we asked them back to paint our lounge and dining room. We handed over our keys to them while we were away and left them to it. Mark and Ian moved all the furniture and had everything back in place and cleaned up when we returned, they even put up a mirror for us. Absolutely thrilled with their work, they are not the cheapest but it's worth paying for quality work and trustworthy guys who really take pride in what they do and treat your home as they would their own. We've had many comments from friends and family on the high standard of the work and we cannot recommend these guys highly enough, which is why we keep using them!

Bedroom: stripping lining paper and painting walls, ceiling, woodwork and radiator. Kitchen: painting newly plastered walls and ceiling. Painting new architrave. Patching some rough patches in plaster.
Dion did a great job decorating two rooms in my house and I would be happy to recommend him to others. He always arrived on time, was very easy to get on with and was very reliable, making sure to check that we were happy with the work at every stage. I am very pleased with the finished result and will be keeping his contact details for any more work we have in future.

All work is internal. Recent build of conservatory has damaged internal decoration. Need dining room to be wallpapered and painted, likewise conservatory. May seek paining of skirting and doors on stairs /landing.
Jamie was couteous, willing to provide advice and guidance rather than just do the job. I found this extremely useful. His work is exemplory and we are already discussing with him when he is available top come back and do some more work.

We have a 3 storey 5 bedroom house that needs external windows and sofits painting on all levels . Window frames are on the whole in reasonable condition ( just starting to peel in places around the glass edges ) . Also to the back of the house is shiplap that i would appreciate some advice on whether this also needs painting ( last time it was painted 3 years ago with Sadolin ) . Also have seperate double garage with sofits that needs garage doors painting to match front door that also needs oainting . Main issue is the height of our house and getting safe access to reach the upper windows .
