The property comprises of a five-storey semi-detached private dwelling house constructed in the mid to late 1800s, more recently converted into four units with the lower unit occupying two storeys. The property has attic dormers and projecting front and rear balconies. The central parts of the front elevation, the surrounds to the front steps and parts of the rear elevation are smooth cemented and painted. The soffit is timber and is painted. Windows are of a timber construction, most with double-hung sash sliding frames set in timber sub-frames. There are stone sills. The requirements of the work are: 1. Separately, the cost of materials, labour and scaffolding. 2. Whether the quote is subject to VAT. 3. The expected duration of the work. 4. The anticipated start date if the contactor is appointed. Prior to the commencement of the work, the appointed contractor will be expected to provide evidence of adequate contractor insurance and references from recent contracts.
The work was undertaken efficiently to a high standard. The tradesmen were courteous. I would have no hesitation in using JP Taffe again.

water from the flat above leaked into our hallway 3 weeks ago, so it still needs time to dry. But we need a quote sooner than that. The ceiling and the wall needs repainting, possibly replastering.
MAC did some plastering and painting in my house with splendid results. All the boys were very punctual and extremely polite. They worked hard the whole time they were here, and finished the job as quickly as possible and within the original time agreed. They cleaned the entire area after they finished which was superb. The painting and plastering were to a very high standard, with attention to detail. The price was also very reasonable, and surprising considering the quality of the work and the service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Mike did a great job with a fast turnaround. The weather was not always on his side but he still managed to keep the job to schedule, at times going out of his way to ensure we were not inconvenienced.
