3 BEDROOMS DECORATED - Bed 1 12FT X 10 FT, has wallpaper that needs stripping, Bed 2 10ft x 10ft no wallpaper. Bed 3 14ft x 10ft has wallpaper that needs stripping. All rooms to be painted inc ceilings + glossed. Windows are UPVC.
Phils quote was ok and he started promptly. Unfortunately he disconnected the radiators to decorate and did not reattach them properly, thus leaking water all over new carpets. He offered to do some further work FOC to compensate then never got in touch. The workmanship of the decorating is average at best, plaster patching is poor, 1 radiator poorly painted, 1 wall now peeling paint assume through poor prep.

Neil and his team have just finished painting the inside of the whole house. i'm delighted with the end result. They were clean and tidy and worked with care and attention to detail, and did everything I asked of them, at a very reasonable rate. We found the painter to be friendly, trustworthy and efficient as well as giving the outside of our terrace house as whole new lease of life. The paint finish is great and we are very pleased with the result!

The ceiling has some cracks so may be uneven in places - I just wish to paper over these.
Turned up bang on time like they he said he would (in fact caught me on the hop - a few mins early!) Rapid worker - I expected it to take a day whereas he was finished by lunchtime - had all the proper equipment which speeds the job. Very good quality finished work that I was pleased with and left the room clean - clearly a very experienced decorator. The fee was slightly more than I expected in the end but I was willing to pay it in view of the speed and quality of the work. I would not hesitate in recommending or using him again.

To wallpaper ( & emulsion over) lounge wall 7.5 metres long. Also to decorate study approx 3 x 2.5 metres (paint ceiling, skirting board and door and hang wallpaper).
John did everything that was asked of him & more besides. He was fast & friendly but still achieved good quality results. His charges were also very reasonable. Very highly recommended. Thank you John!

I'm not sure
I am planning to get work done in the house over the next year and ultimately want plain walls/colours in all the rooms. First thing is the current wallpaper needs to come off to see what the walls are like underneath and decide then whether to just emulsion, whether I shall need to get a plasterer in or have wallpaper again. Basically I want advice from a skilled/experienced decorator who can work with me on this long term project. Would ultimately see the painter/ decorator getting the walls stripped then doing the other work in the future i.e. emulsioning or papering if I decide to go that way again. The house is a 3 bedroom semi-detached.
John has been absolutely brilliant from start to finish. From just after posting the job he actually rang me from Spain and the day he got back from his break he came the same night to quote me for the job. I chose him over the other two guys who came to quote and four days later he started the work and finished sooner than he had predicted. John is very professional, knows what he is doing and can give good sound advice. He did an excellent job and cleaned up after the work was done. I shall be having him back to do the rest of the decorating once I have had the walls plastered. I would highly recommend John to anyone.

we have a large bay-windowed (sash) Victorian living room that needs decorating. Prob paint as opposed to wallpaper but all woodwork needs prep as the existing paint is chipped. Original coving (few cracks that need filling) and picture rails too. Is there any chance of an approx cost for labour? Thanks
