I am after someone to strip wall paper on Thursday and Friday, I have the steamer. If this workis finished before the two days is up I will require filling and perhaps even teh base coat applied. So with this in mind I would prefer a day rate.

ladders needed, country cream colour, area approx 400sq metres
quoted for 2coats sills and walls...only did 2 coats on the walls where I made him, also only did one coat on sills. paint splashed on other surfaces and windows.

I am buying a ground floor flat which needs some modernisation. I would like a quote to decorate throughout. I shall be writing separate postings for an electrician to rewire the flat, and for a heating engineer to install gas central heating. We are hoping to complete the purchase by the end of July, so would hope to have the work done in August. Obviously the decorating would be done last. I would like quotes to strip the old wallpaper and apply lining paper to walls and then to paint the walls, ceilings, and woodwork. The approximate dimensions of the rooms are as follows. Lounge: 15' square: Bedroom: 13'1 x 10'7; Kitchen/diner 15'2 x 10'9 There is also a large hall ( I'm guessing at 17' x 6') and a porch. The two main rooms and the hall have high ceilings, skirting boards and picture rails. There are no window frames to be painted, as there are upvc double glazed windows. There will be additional painting in the kitchen, as there are several walk-in cupboards, which would need painting and possibly new shelving put up. I would also like a couple of new kitchen units, a sink unit, and worktop fitting in one corner of the kitchen. The plumbing is already in place, and I would plan to buy the units myself.

Looking for someone to give me a SENSIBLE quote for painting x3 upper floor sash windows - light sanding down, undercoat and final coat; x2 gables; painting of one external wall; x1 window frame (located in awkward position upper window).
