Item 1. Bedroom, approx 5m x 4m, which has papered walls that have been painted over, needs refreshing. One wall (containing 2 doors off to other rooms) and ceiling area just above boxed-in wardrobes requires some preparation work - ? smoothing down of plastered areas and possibly lining paper applied to wall. We already have the lining paper, if required. Item 2. Nine internal panelled doors plus 2 bi-fold doors to be painted. Item 3. Entrance hall and corridor to be re-painted. Approx 12m length.(Previously papered and painted over and border applied. Border to be removed. Happy to take advice about removing existing paper/re-lining.) Item 1 needs to be completed by Friday 17th August. Items 2 and 3 are less urgent so can have a flexible deadline.
James was friendly, professional, gave us a very competitive quote and was even able to reduce the cost to us - he did such a good job of stripping the walls they didn't need to be re-lined. We are very pleased with the work he has done. We had to contact him a couple of times to confirm when he was going to come, rather than him being proactive and contacting us (perhaps we expect a little too much?!), but on each occasion he turned up when he said he would. We have already recommended him to friends.

Internal decoration, mostly wallpapering, but it is complex patterned wallpaper, so needs someone skilled in this area. To try and keep costs down, we are trying to get all the prep work done. Consequently, although we are redecorating the whole house, the project is moving on two rooms at a time. We are looking for someone asap as the first 2 rooms are prepped and ready!
