A window ledge needed replacing. Very speedy piece of work carried out by John. Fast, reliable & good value. I would use again for any further repairs.

Have removed polystyrene tiles from ceiling and painstakingly removing blobs of adhesive. The ceiling plaster is badly cracked and in my attempts to remove adhesive, also adding a few scrapes! Thought I'd just fill cracks the paper, but do't think 'll get a good finish. Roughly how much would it cost to skim? It is just under 4x3.5m "square" room. Would be future jobs a unfortunately not only room with those lovely tiles :) Carrick KNowe area, Edinburgh
Will use them again when I get around to doing the next room!

I don't know the name for this . We have a kitchen extension and the wrong type of plaster tape was used on the angles in the ceiling so that cracks have appeared.

Internal hallway, some small areas to be filled, cables have been raggled and need plastered over (6 meters in lenghth approx) and one wall on landing to be fully plastered (approx 6ft by 10 ft).

Not exactly sure but certainly need some re-rendering at external front bedroom wall, some lead valley repair/replacement, repoint cement at pointy bit above front bedroom window, remove wee plant in said pointy bit. Few missing slates, also plant in chimney to be removed and killed permanently. We've alread had folk 'remove' it twice already, but it keeps growing. I think you'd need to see the job for yourself as we don' know for sure, and not going up a ladder to look! It's a 30's mid terraced house if that helps. Had to put in a budget to send the form, but really I have no idea if under £1000 is realistic or not. Hope it is but you can let us know.

The ceiling in my mother's living room needs attention. There are a couple of cracks where rainwater got in some time ago, so it needs to be checked as to soundness. Then the whole ceiling, which has a whirly pattern, needs to be skimmed.
Would recommend Ian highly. He was timely, efficient, tidy and professional, as was his young assistant. A pleasure to work with.

Updated : See below. I've detailed the size of the area that needs plastered, but it is obviously surrounded by a larger wall. Original : My partner has been running speaker cables through two walls and has plastered them, but they need skimmed. First wall is 1.5m by 30cm, second is 3m by 20cm. He has also taken out a small fireplace (1m by 1m) which needs skimmed. Keen to get a price for this. Work ideally to be done next week.
