"I tried hard to explain to them what I wanted. I stated it in the advert, I stated it when they came round to assess the job and I reiterated it when they came to do the job. When they said they were finished I had a look and told them that they had not done what I had asked three times - they had not made the walls flat. A simple task you would think. So eventually they got all of their stuff out of the van again and flung up some plaster (which has since cracked). Again when I checked it, it was not flat. When I mentioned it to them they started saying "Oh, don't worry a tiler will be able to cope with this by putting big blobs on the tiles." I wish I had been more assertive and refused to pay them until they did what I asked them three times...."

The work involved re plastering a large high ceiling room with old lathe and plaster walls and then skimming. "Scott and the guys are really nice, reliable and did a good job. They weren't the cheapest by a stretch but I had confidence in them having read reviews on the site. They'll hate this but I think the price was just a wee bit top-heavy, but if the work's good (they guarantee it) then not worth quibbling over. Happily recommend them to others and would use them again. Thanks Scott (and sorry to your lads that they had to strip all that wallpaper)."
