"I am afraid that Mr Charlton did not do a good job for us - within eight days the ceiling he had put up was cracked and will have to be done again - by someone else! We did not find Mr Charlton an easy person to have in the house and we were horrified to discover that we were expected to pay in cash for half the work half way through the job - so we had to go and find a cash dispenser to get the necessary money. He did not want to give us an invoice for the work nor any written guarantee. He tried to increase the quoted rate during the job. He, or his assistant, broke a light fitting, tried to conceal the fact and finally tried to bully my wife into giving him a "tip" at the end of the job. Sadly, my only recommendation to anyone is not to use this tradesperson."
