Skim over 2 artex ceilings - good condition - in a bungalow - room sizes: 13ft x 11ft and 10ft x 11ft. Artex is very shallow. ceiling height = 8ft .
Andy Roberts is by far the best contractor we have ever used. His work is superb. He transformed a poor ceiling into one we can be proud of. He is everything anyone could want in a tradesman. An excellent worker. Polite, punctual, reliable, friendly and fair. He was ably assisted by Garry who is a model worker, he worked very hard and has great potential. A first rate job..

1950's house needs ceiling and walls in the hall, landing, stairs and downstairs cloakroom replastering.
The finish was not what we were expecting. I was told when we were quoted that the finish would be a 'mirror finish' and we would be able to decorate straight away. This is not the case and we have had to sand most of the walls and fill where it was not even plastered (ie - end of window-sill)

Hi, I am currently in the process of purchasing a repo property. It is a 4 bedroom semi detached. I am trying to get an estimate on the cost of skimmimg more or less the full property including the ceilings which are currently textured. The walls themselves are plastered but cracks and numerous holes the size of 2p piece are dotted around the property. We have been advised it is possible to fill in and then just cover with lining paper but we would prefer to paint. The measurements for the rooms are as follows: Livingroom/Diner 7.32m x 4.47m Hall stairs and landing approx 16 stairs bedroom one 4.12m x 3.41m bedroom two 3.07m x 3.18m bedroom three 2m x 2.88m bedroom four 2.16m x 2.14m We would love to have it all plastered but need to get an idea on cost for budget purposes.

We are having some difficulties in our property with a damp patch that has formed on the inner wall in the bedroom, the property has recently had a new roof and work on the chimney, however we are an end terrace and we are still getting some damp on the wall and chimney breast. We feel that this could be from the rendering at the side of the property as this requires some attention and re-rendering of the chimney breast although we are wondering if there are still problems with the chimney we have also been told that the internal plaster may been absorbing the moisture out of the air and this could also be the issue? We would like an honest workman to come and have a look and give us a honest oppinion as we have had some bad experiences with workman looking at this in recent times
