Internal rendering and damp proof lining in Wanstead
"The work started a week later than agreed. The work took 2weeks instead of the quoted 3days and even then it was a serious PUSH to get things done. The costing was quite significantly out - we were quoted £1410 (quote: "all labour and materials included") but the total was just over £2000 (additional £460 in labour & £138 for materials that I had to buy). Over all the work was good, but the attention to detail was lacking in certain areas, around plug and switch sockets along skirting area ect. It took a lot of extra sanding to get it to a paintable standard. In addition my freezer was left switched off, my back drain was blocked, my kitchen was used as a work room and the way my house was left after the work was pretty poor (even by builders standards). That said I think they underestimated the amount of work that was required for this project. Also, an important point to make is that the chimney breast removal was done as a separate job, by a builder introduced to me by RDR - this part of the job went like clockwork and over all they did a fantastic job!"
