An area of plaster ceiling (approximately 100 cm x 70 cm) in dining room has fallen down. I'm looking for advice, including cost, about how to repair.
All round great experience. Arunas had phoned, visited & quoted within hour of posting job late-afternoon, finished by noon next day. Thoroughly recommended. No fuss, no mess, sorted. Many many thanks.Cathryn
samll spare room where large crack has appeared in lime mortatr plaster ceiling.
Turned up at 7.30am, and had the job done by the time I got home from work. Good, honest, and polite. I'm very pleased indeed, and now have them doing some more work on the exterior paintwork. I highly reccomend them.Matthew
a bedroom of approx 12 ft by 9ft needs skimming in preparation for decorating. The walls have been stripped of wallpaper and although the plaster seems pretty good it would be good to get it freshly done. There is also a small section of plaster board that would need replacing.
J.R plasterers did a great job - a really reasonable quote, good communication, great time keeping and got the job done in a day which was great. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them.Celia
Ceiling needs replacing in 11ft x 8ft room. Part of it (approx. 4ft x 3ft) has already been removed so need remaining ceiling to be removed, then plasterboard and skim to a good finish. You will need ladders as ceiling is fairly high. Room has polished floorboards so you will need floor coverings etc. Would like work to be carried out in about 3 weeks time.
Rousdam and his partner were fantastic! The took on a really messy job (100 years of trapped soot was discovered in the ceiling!) and left me with a beautifully plastered ceiling.
They took great care to cover and tape down all surfaces so as not to damage, removed the ceiling and took all rubbish away with them. They levelled and boarded the ceiling then skimmed smooth. After all of this they took the time to leave the room incredibly clean. It took them the day to complete the whole job, as stated.
It was a very competetively priced job and I have kept their number for future use. Thanks!Farhana
Add plaster skim to plasterboard
/existing plaster in master bedroom(5m x 4m approx). We have just stripped the wallpaper, revealing plasterboard and plaster (to cover joint in plasterboard). We also need the walls to be given a smooth coat of plaster.
Dan was on-time, communicative and friendly. The work was finished to a good standard and the room was kept reasonably clean.Aaron
Remove old shot plaster, apply browning and finishing coat
I was given a quote over the phone and a time was arranged for the work at short notice (just before Christmas!). The job was completed to time and to budget, and they cleaned up afterwards.David
Skimming of walls and ceiling of living room of 4.8 x 4.2 metres. Boxing in radiator pipes and making the light switch and wall sockets flush mounted as they are currently surface mounted. If this work is done well there will be more work on other rooms in the house.
Very good work. I will definitely be using Calvin's services again.Simon

Two bed mid-terrace 1840's house undergoing significant renovation requires a small amount of patching, with the majority of the work being plaster skimming on aprox 6 - 7 internal walls (including hallway/stairs - but all required work reachable with standard ladder). The property is currently vacant so access to all areas is clear. Would like work carried out as soon as possible.

No scaffolding needed, no ladders. Need to make the stairs waterproof again and then make the understairs storage waterproof too.

We have just bought a new build house (4 bed) and have been upgrading the AV system: now numerous holes in plasterboard (c 15cm square) that have had the cut-out fixed back in but need making good. Affects c 7 rooms plus many holes in the stairwells where the wiring was taken up.

Internal plastering required. Would like to use lime plaster if possible, on drylined internal walls. Some rendering will be needed first on small areas of external walling. Drylining completed. Victorian terrace. 3 rooms plus hallway. Available for viewing fridays, saturdays and sundays and other times on request.
