Internal rendering and damp proof lining in Charville
"The fitting of the bath and some tiling was very well done. However, some other aspects of the job desired much improvement. When the guys first came around, it was explained that we wanted the entire bathroom fitted which included moving the light to the centre of the room. A price was agreed. Approaching the end of the job, they then asked for an additional £100 for moving the light. It was my understanding that this had already been included in the price. Also, does the price quoted not also include re-hanging the bathroom door? WIth regards to the fitting of the radiator, it was only after the floor was tiled that the radiator was taken from the sitting to the bathroom for measuring by which time, I don't believe that they would have known about the joist. Alternatively, the radiator could have been plumbed into the wall). I've had 3 tradesmen around to look a repairing the 'plastered walls'. I was totally embarassad as one stated that it was close to the worst job that he had ever seen. They all stated that the walls were covered with a combination of plaster and filler. Tee corners and edges are not straight and the walls and ceilings were not smooth. Would you refer to that as finishing a job??? "

"From the start, the guys were very interested in the job. They stated how much it would normally cost and that they will knock £300 off of the job because they really wanted this job. They assured my partner and I that the quality of work would be very high. The finishes on the bath and shower were good however the rest of the bathroom requires much to be desired. The bathroom was stripped back to the bare bone however they did not seize the opportunity to plumb the pipes into the wall. So as I enter the bathroom the first things you will see are these pipes. Not easy on the eyes at all! I purchased a new radiator before the floor tiles were laid. Instead of measuring up the radiator and adjusting the pipes accordingly, the guys laid the tiles and then attempted to install the radiator only to find that it could not fit. A botched job there, leaving the bathroom looking cheap! Before they left, we told them that the radiator and the sink were leaking. I thought that they had fixed them both however, they somewhat fixed the sink pipes and turn off the radiator at the TRV so when we turned on the radiator it started to leak again. I will have to get another plumber to come in and make the necessary repairs. Today, my partner had a bath and water started to drip into the kitchen. So now itâ??s a matter of urgency and I will have to get the plumber to look at what is causing that leakage and make whatever repairs are necessary. The single wall and the ceiling which were painted are blotchy and will require another coat. They took the bathroom door off when the job started and it has not been re-hung. They stated that they needed to shave the bottom of the door however they did not have the tool so there's no door on my bathroom. We have had to go to B&Q, Homebase and Wickes on numerous occasions as they constantly required some materials. We donâ??t believe that this is how professional should behave!!! On another note, they were also doing some plastering work for me at the same time and we will also be requiring another tradesman to come in and repair their botched up attempt. We had some issues towards the end of the plastering project and they offered not to complete it and not to charge us for it. Alternatively, they will return to finish the job. Indeed, they did finish the job however as I said before, we will be require some remedial work to be done. If it isn't apparent as yet, we CANNOT recommend these guys. Have cost us a lot thus far and will cost us more to do the corrective work. Al & Kemi "
