Recently removed built-in cupboards in a small bedroom have left exposed steel frame and timbers in ceiling. Pink faced flame retardant plaster board does not meet the wall so will require finishing. Blown plaster on external wall and internal wall (where the side of the cupboard was fastened, approx. 1.5ft). Entire wall (length of cupboard, approx. 2.5m) requires skimming.

Wow! What can I say..... I was extremely pleased with Nigel's work. (Skimming a very big lounge) He has very high standards and he made easy work of the job. He was friendly, polite, punctual and most shockingly is that when he starts, he does not stop even when trying to offer him cups of tea.. 8 hours non stop! Wow! I will definitely use him again and would recommed him to anyone who wants quality work done in a short amount of time.

Replace approx 3 sq m of ceiling plasterboard and skim to blend with adjoining area.
Neil did a great job repairing my ceiling; I couldn't have asked for better. He arrived when he said he would for both the estimate and the work itself; he had a very friendy but also professional approach and his price was competitive. The plastering repair itself was done very efficiently and neatly. I subsequently decorated it myself and fully expected to need to use some polyfilla to smooth the join between the old and the new but was delighted to find that wasn't necessary. Full marks.

Large new plasterboarded room to be skimmed. guide approx 8mx4mx3m. Ready NOW. Beading up, materials ready. Looking for a day rate or sensible quote. You must provide jointing tape and tools but we should have all other materials.

Re-render front and back of victorian cottage. Want smooth finish. Also require repairs to render on side of house. May require new barge boards.
I would certainly recommend F&D construction, who re-rendered the outside of my house, repainted the exterior and rebuilt a wall. I was very happy with both the quality and price of their work. The workmen were polite, clean and reliable. Although not all of them spoke perfect English, regular liaison with the building manager helped ensure that everyone was kept up-to-speed on requirements and progress.

1. Reskim water damaged areas and repaint (you did this for previously with job #566316). We haven't traced the source of the water damage but it is not getting any worse 2. Plaster an area of approx 0.7 m x 0.7 m above our fireplace where the bricks had to be removed due to a chimney flue liner being put in.
