I have a small spare bedroom (approx 7ft by 7ft) that requires 2 walls (one with window) and the ceiling to be replastered. The ceiling has artex and I would like to have it smoothed over. The walls have just been stripped of paper and seem to have some textured paint on that I would like to be plastered smooth instead.
Really pleased with the work done. Quick response and the work was completed quickly and to a good standard. Would recommend these guys and will be keeping their number for any future work.

Living room walls require skimming. There is coving in place so not sure if this will need to be removed. The gas fire has been removed from the chimney breast where a coal fire existed originally. This has left an opening/fireplace which needs to be repaired, skimmed, tidied up and boxed in to create a feature point. There are also some central heating pipes on one wall running floor to ceiling that need to be boxed in if possible. The room is very approximately 8' x 12' off the top of my head.
Costa did a brilliant job of the walls in the living room and even offered an excellent alternative solution to a problem when asbestos issues meant that he couldn't carry out the work around the fireplace originally quoted for. His work is excellent value for money and the finish is excellent. We will definitely ask Costa to quote for any future plastering jobs that we might need.

I give Barry five stars simply because they are deserved - His work is excellent and the attention to detail is exactly what I wanted. Finding a professional tradesman who keeps to the original brief and maintains standards isn't easy - But Barry has delivered on all counts. His work is impeccable and we are very pleased with the finished result. He is attentive and eager to please ... And he's very tidy, didn't leave the house before clearing his mess up. I would highly recommend Barry's work - And another important point worth mentioning, he doesn't smoke or swear which to us is important as we have two young children.

Unsold Job, Updated Details : I have a problem with water getting in around the window in my downstairs front room. The wallpaper around the window is all discoloured and during the recent heavy rain there was water on the window sill inside.My insurer , who will not cover the work, says the water is getting under the external rendering and somehow getting through the brick work into the room and discolouring the wall paper.The external rendering may need to come off to see what is happening, but you may have another solution.I would like a quote on my options please Original : i have rendering ao the front of the house and water seems to be getting under ti- the donstairs room has discoloured wallpaper arond the window ,starting at the top of the window and running down the sides .There is also a small sign of water ingress around the window in the upstairs bedroom.I have had my insurers to look at it but they say the problem has been there sometime and therefore they will not cover the work.I would like to know my options-can it be sealed in some way or does it all have to come off to see the brickwork underneath
