Reviews of Plasterers & Renderers in Epsom, Surrey

Skimming of walls in hall way, up stairs and landing (no ceilings). Walls previously had wallpaper on them which I have had removed. The walls are in a decent state but have flecks of old paint on them. Skimming required no bonding needed.
Barry and Chris turned up on time, done an excellent job and cleard up after themselves. Their work was of the highest quality and offered advice as well. Would use again and recommend to anyone else who was in need of a plasterer.

I am looking for a plasterer that can skim my bedroom walls. I am looking for someone that can do a good job and not charge me silly money size of room approx 11ftx10ft.
I have never seen plastering like this. It took me two hours to clean the hallway and the carpet is ruined. The bathroom floor had plaster on it which took me age's to clean up and he used the bath to clean his bucket's out in. Some parts of the bedroom wall don't even have plaster on and the walls in places are wavy. He didn't take any plugs off just plastered around them and on them and also on the beadwork you can still see the holes. Plaster is on the skirting boards the plastering is pitted and holes are visable the corners are lumpy with bits hanging off. I am disgusted with the finish and i really need to have it replaster to make it look better but now can't afford to do this. The only positive thing i can say is he did turn up when he said.

using 'artline decor' coving for 3 rooms and replastering and coving for a further 2 rooms
Dimitar was quick to respond to our message on rated people. He worked to a tight deadline, was extremely efficient and gave options, where most tradesmen don’t bother. We’re really happy with the work and level of detail and would not think twice about recommending him to others. We have asked Dimitar to quote to an extended job also.

We currently have the original artexed ceilings in all rooms of our two-bedroom Wimpey house (built 1973) in Epsom. The job is to make the ceilings smooth, like flat plastered ceilings. There are 6 rooms to plaster: - entrance hall - reception - landing - bathroom - 2x bedrooms Total ceiling area is approx 50m^2. All ceilings are fully exposed/accessible and mostly 2.3m high. Ceilings are mostly in good order. Artex bumps appear mostly shallow (perhaps <2mm). Some straight-line cracks/ridges exist where boards meet. One patch in the ceiling has had additional artex applied to mask a leak. Please provide quotes with & without removal of existing artex to help me decide if I carry out the removal myself. Work must complete by 12 Feb 2011.
This was our first use of ratedpeople - very pleased with the results. Jo and Luke arrived on-time at 8am and worked for over 8 hours straight. Job was completed to a professional standard - ceilings look very smooth. Additional patches around the house were also covered. There was some mess left on walls/carpets, but we expected a certain amount of this. One light fitting couldn't be fully plastered under, but the new fitting is larger and so that area won't be viewable anyway. Quote was competitive and credible. Availability/flexibility on dates was very good. Would use again if we need any more plastering done.

1 room c. 5m x 3.5m floor area. approx 2.5m ceiling height. French windows one end. Fireplace on one side.
Great job. Tradesman showed up exactly on time. He worked very diligently and to a very high standard. He obviously cares about what he does, which is a rare quality. He also cleaned up after himself. I am very happy with the result.

We live in an upstairs maisonette and are looking to have the ceiling in our lounge redone as it is cracked and has very date wallpaper on in. We may need to have the walls replastered so that walls can be painted without any lining paper. We also need the ceiling in the mainbedroom redone as it is also cracked. Thanks, Nicky
