My living room ceiling is one of several artex ceilings in the house. We want to get them skimmed one by one. I need the job completed by Tuesday 18/10/2011 if possible.
Tom turned up on time both days he came, was honest about the work needing doing, and charged a good price. I would definitely recommend him to others.

A 2 bedroom, end of terrace, house with single extension which will become a galley kitchen. All the walls in the house have been stripped of plaster and are back to brick/concrete. We have a powerpoint document showing a 3D plan of the house and the number of boards required. We will supply all the boards and fixing materials. We discovered after purchase that our house is not of standard construction and is made mostly of concrete built in 1870. We are currently in the process of repairing/securing the concrete walls with a specialist company. As a result of the condition of our house we are being filmed for Sarah Beeny's new series of 'Help! My house is falling down'. Due to delays in getting the right specialists to repair the house we have a tight timescale and after the walls are repaired we need to plasterboard and skim all the walls in the house We did plan to do it ourselves to save money but we need a professional who can do it in the timescale - To be completed beginning of April. Should you take the job you may be filmed whilst doing the work. You will also have your chance to advertise on TV but will definitely have your details on the programme's Channel 4 website which receives a great number of viewers. If you are interested in this job and are prepared to offer your services for free then please let us know. A letter confirming the TV series is happening can be provided. We will provide all materials and will only require your services or advice to assist us. We have heard that a couple in Manchester did the same method as this and received a great deal of interested suppliers. Come on Midlands! If you are interested a detailed plan of the house can be delivered to you. Cheers!

On removal of wall paper from spare room walls, plaster underneath is in poor condition, including some large holes. We don't know whether it is just a matter of skimming or whether it will be necessary to go back to the brick to remedy the situation. Room is approx 3m square. 1 wall is almost entirely made up of a built in cupboard so no work needed there.

Internal corners needed to be sorted out since he had tried to plaster in the dark! Very willing to come back and sort out any problems to give us a job we would be happy with. Due soon so watch this space!

Replaster an average sized en-suite bathroom, That has had tiles removed on some of the walls. The finished palster will be tiled in part and painted. Including covering an artex ceiling.
Turned up on time and was very clean and used dust sheets on evrything. The finished room s still drying but the finish is pretty good. I have already recommended his services to friends

Hi, I have three jobs within my house I'm looking for a quote on; 1. Living Room Ceiling - 780 x 350 - Currently has some long cracks between plaster board running from wall to wall. Also previously plastered using a textrue and we'd like a smooth finish. 2. Living Room Fireplace - Just finished new fireplace and the brests need plastering. The main bulk of the fireplace is reclaimed bricks that we want to leave exposed, but either end and above the mantel piece need to be plastered. Equally need to build in some plugs and light switches that i've already laid the wires for. 3. Bedroom Ceiling - 340 x 460- previously damaged following a leaking room, the repaire job has been poor. Looking for advice if we can just skim the ceiling or need to relay plasterboard and then skim. Ideally looking for a quote for each job, as may not be able to afford them all within one month. May need to stagger it.
