"Dave came to do the job of a "Labor only written estimate" as I was going to do the work on a DIY basis but due to council regulations need a "Labor only written estimate" As not to put him out of pocket, and he could see the job was in hand, I offered to pay him a call out fee for his time. He agreed, I paid cash, everyone was happy. He later phoned up to say he could not do the job as he thought it was somehow wrong to do it. He said that he would return the money the following day, he did. This man is full of good advise, he is honest and will say if he cant do something. My case was that it was against what his business was about. I would have said "easy money, for no work, but thats me." Dave is honest and I would go to him again should the need occur.
